Rex Specs are protective eye-wear for the active dog. They are stable and secure while still allowing for full jaw motion and field of view. Rex Specs protect your dog's eyes from debris, environmental hazards, and sun. All lenses are UVA/UVB protective and assist in the treatment of canine eye conditions such as pannus (Chronic Superficial Keratitis). Rex Specs have been designed and tested for the working dog to ensure they meet the needs of any dog and any adventure. Check out other colored replacement lenses, sold separately.

Lens Selection: You get two lenses with your Rex Specs including a clear version and a colored version. Which lens should you choose? All lenses are rated UV400 - blocking 99.9% of UVA and UVB rays. The lenses have the following visual light-blocking properties:

• Clear - allows 92% of visual light to pass through
• Smoke - allows 20% of light to pass through
• Blue Mirror - allows 15% of visible light to pass through
• Silver Mirror - allows 13% of light to pass through (so this is the darkest choice)

Sizing Information:

X-Small: Less than 10.5“ Head circumference, Less than 6“ Muzzle circumference. Common Breeds: Dachshunds, Chihuahua, Small Terriers, Pomeranian, dogs between 4-15 pounds.

Small:  10.5-12“ Head circumference,  6-8“ Muzzle Circumference. Common Breeds: Mini Australian Shepherds, Mini Pinschers, Mutts, Terriers, Italian Greyhounds, Whippet, Mini Schnauzers. Common Weight: Between 10-25 pounds.

Small Wide: Muzzle Circumference: Between 6-9 inches. Head Circumference: Between 12-15 inches. Common Breeds: Boston Terriers, French Bulldog (with a nose), Shih Tzu, Pekingese, English Toy Spaniel, Cavalier King Charles
Spaniel. Common Weight: Between 15-25 pounds.

Medium:  12-14“ Head circumference,  8-9“ Muzzle Muzzle Circumference. Common Breeds: Australian Shepherds, Mini Australian shepherds, Setters, Brittany Spaniels, Spaniel mixes, Heelers, Greyhound, Whippet, Springer spaniels. Common Weight: Between 20-40 pounds. 

Large: Head Circumference: Between 14-18 inches. Muzzle Circumference: Between 9-12 inches. Common Breeds: Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherd, GSD, Border Collie, Australian Shepherd, Pointers, Labs, Mutts, Staffordshire
terriers, Heelers, retrievers, Dobermans, Greyhound. Common Weight: Between 40-85 pounds. 

X-Large:  Greater than 18“ Head circumference,  Greater than 12“ Muzzle Muzzle Circumference. Common Breeds: Great Dane, Dogo Argentino, Bernese Mountain Dog, GSD (large), Labs(large), Cane Corso, Great Pyrenees, Rottweiler, Malamute, Bull Terriers, Dobermans. Common Weight: over 80 lbs. 

Strap extender sold separately if your dog's head is greater than 20 inches around. Measure underneath their chin from the soft part of their lower jaw and then around their head below their ears to the other side.
